The thumbnail issue is a common mistake when you copy a post and change the text, instead of making a new post from scratch in wordpress 
probably just some marketing dude who forgot to change the meta info
Great to get an update - and explains why the thread on what was happening with the 2.0 update was locked even though it attached a lot of interest. And hopefully it goes to show that communication is the key to keeping everyone happy
