Hey team,
We are seeing Transformer based models starting to take over for signal processing. Any changes we see that in the Quad Cortex for new captures? Time based effects capture maybe? That would be awesome.

I’m not familiar with that. I did a quick search but didn’t find much related to guitar processing. Are there already hardware units using it or is it all software at this point?
I’ve seen implementations in GPUs and FPGAs. Since Quad Cortex use SHARC ADSP-SC589, and it has floating point support, the implementation of efficient matrix calculations seems possible. Not sure if it is powerful enough to run the necessary transformer model size in realtime though.
That’s what I was thinking! My limited knowledge of ones and zeros tells me it sounds like some promising tech. Being able to make captures of non-static gear would be amazing.
