After having seen what Darkglass is doing with the marketplace for the Anagram - allowing third parties to develop plugins and sell them for use on the unit - I think this would expand the possibilities of the QC almost to no limit. I realize that there probably are many technical limitations and constraints that need to be taken care of for a plugin to be usable on the QC, but with such a setup, you can leave that to others, haha . Of course, there would have to be a well-defined API, an approval process, etc.
But think of the benefits! Big success for most computer based hardware comes down to third party software developers. Look at e.g. the iPhone - what would it be without the app store?
Note: this request is not for a marketplace selling captures or presets. I’m talking about third party software plugin implementations, like the X versions NDSP are selling.
Yes, this would be amazing. A marketplace just for modelling gear would be perfect. No captures or presets( Those should be shared free in cloud) , just good stuff, quality certified creators.

I just want to point out that we do have a couple of feature requests for open source / third party programmability. These don’t include a “marketplace” or a vetting process as you’re suggesting, but the basic ideas are very similar.
I am skeptical that Neural DSP would ever choose to let go of their “walled garden” approach to the QC.
Having heard some of the stuff on the anagram market place it doesn’t compare to what neural already has given us… At the moment I’d rather just get what ndsp has planned quality wise I think itl be better.. And as mentioned above I doubt neural would be up for it…
