Strange Noise when USB Cable Connected

I’ve been experiencing a strange noise when I plug the USB cable from the QC into my computer. I initially noticed this issue with the supplied QC cable, so I purchased a new one, but the sound persists.

i’m curious as well because i have a similar issue but it’s due to grounding! since my macbook doesn’t have grounding i keep having an electrical dispersion that gets in the way when i use plugins so i’m trying to figure out a solution. btw have you tried to put a noise gate from the QC? just asking so i can compare with my problem.

Is your monitor plugged into a grounded outlet? I’ve heard that tone before when something in the chain is running off USB bus power instead of being powered itself. Some users have had noise issues from the monitor itself, or how it’s connected. You might want to try searching ‘monitor’ and ‘noise’

I have the same issue. It’s a grounding problem. Try going into your I/O settings on the QC and toggle the ground lifts. I had a really bad ground hum when trying to capture profiles and the I/O ground lifts were the trick.

wasn’t this already posted here? it’s the PC that isn’t grounded and is picking up a bunch of electromagnetic interference, check out the power cable if it only has 2 prongs that’s your problem.

For me it was this! only 2 prongs, when i changed to 3 prongs the issue solved itself
