I bought the Archetype Petrucci plugin more than a year ago. Already then it said: “PCOM coming soon”. I am wondering what you guys mean by “soon” and when I can finally use that plugin on my quad cortex.
Unfortunately, there is no set timeframe for PCOM on Petrucci or the rest of the plug-ins. The best way to stay knowledgeable on PCOM and future updates is to watch the NDSP News site:
SOON is NDSPs way of remaining non-communal. And it’s been used so often for so long, that they’re now using it as a marketing tease.
They are unaware of how frustrating it is.
Only reason I tolerate it is because I’m wed to the platform and some of the plug-ins.
if I was doing this again, the soon thing would win them one less customer.
At some point, that was the running gag with Blizzard: “when it’s done”. IE “we”re working on it, but won’t give you any set date, then move it back, nor will we rush it”. I honestly prefer this over half-baked products/updates, or seeing the ETA being pushed back constantly.
