SOON video teaser

I’ve been very Neural positive over the last few years despite the negative backlash at times. I use the QC for over 100 shows a year and also use the plugins, love it all. This was the first time I was off put by them.

The issue isn’t just about humor or suspense—it’s about trust. When a company doesn’t meet expectations, even playful marketing can backfire, as it has here. Humor works best when there’s trust, but past broken promises make it hard to enjoy. Once Neural is more reliable and continuously follows through with releases, their fun approach will likely click better with the community.

I understand but you bought the product for what it was at the time of purchase now admittedly I don’t have mine as long as the peeps so I don’t know what wasn’t there or should have in the beginning…

And again it comes down to doing your homework on what they have to offer at time of purchase not what may come in the future or we hope will come in the future… I know from experience that plans don’t always come to fruition

Any NDSP fanboys have 22mins to waste on the second sooner video? Then give us a summary please? That would be much appreciated :+1::guitar::fire:

“tiny”

that is all

The Nano Cortex has been leaked. We won’t know what it’s capable of likely until after the 3 day marketing hype machine.

Definatly not a fanboy… Didn’t watch all of it but if someone needed to watch the whole thing just to try and figure it out I’m not surprised with the childish given out…as said who cares what there doing I just find funny reading the whingers comments

I feel like it isn’t actually the device that’s in the photo (no screen and just knobs). That must be an early prototype because it looks like a bad Mooer bootleg or something

It’s good that a smaller version of the Quad Cortex is coming onto the market. This will counter the other manufacturers and create more competition in the small modeler segment. I know a few people who think the current version is too big, too bulky and, above all, too expensive and who would be happy with a smaller version. Personally, I would be happy with a bigger, more powerful version. But hey… there’s a time for everything.

Very true. The guy that did the teardown video a while back said the screen was by far the most expensive part. If you were going to make a cheaper QC, no screen, far fewer footswitch/knob combos, fewer in/out circuitry would be a great start.

It could have the brains of the QC, but requires a PC or phone or something. Basically, not really any good for gigging, and can’t capture, but for everyone else - a much cheaper option.

…or maybe it’s literally just an audio interface

they did that about a year ago. I don’t expect they will keep reiterating that side of it.

Things are better than they were at launch, but the rest is a long haul to get there. We all want them to ‘fix everything at once’ but that’s obviously not going to happen.

Yeah I read that way back. But I am missing the “we messed up, we are sorry but we will make it up to you” part. Explaining that porting plugins is a lot of work just doesn’t do it for me. That’s something they should have thought of BEFORE announcing it.
All they are doing is once in a while posting a “sorry guys but thank you for your patience”.
Imagine ordering a pizza that takes 3 hours to deliver and every half hour you get a message saying “sorry, we are very busy today”. At some point it just doesn’t cut it anymore.

then they gave the free PlugIN - that was assumed to have gone into that mix too.
but anyway, yeah, this comes up every few cycles or so, I don’t think it’ll change that much. I do think the QC is miles from where it began, which was already pretty good-

I thought so as well, but since they gave it to everyone it really wasn’t. To be clear here, I am perfectly fine with NDSP giving everyone a free plugin. No complaints about that at all! But therefore it clearly isn’t a sign of good will to long term users but rather a smart business move.

admittedly, the good-will gestures have a long hill to climb. There’s no easy answer I think.

I’ve never liked the ‘if you don’t like it, sell it’ mantra- I think users are entitled to voice their dissatisfaction and frustration and suggestions. That’s what builds the community.

That said, there must be a point where you dump Pizza Hut for Dominos, I suppose. For your own well-being, at least.

You absolutely hit the nail on the head with your synopsis. When more QOL UI issues have been dealt with and several critical feature requests fulfilled, this sort of lighthearted tomfoolery will find a much more receptive audience. As you indicated, the stress level regarding missing functionality and stability issues surrounding the QC is a little too high now for this to be received by everyone in the spirit it was intended. And for the those with a more serious temperament, there will never be a good time for this sort of thing.

I do at least conceptually enjoy that Neural essentially put out a short film. First one I can remember put out by a modeling company. Kind of innovative in that respect. I do love having humor injected into any highly technical enterprise as long as it accompanied by an uncompromising focus on product quality. Do they need to up their writing/content game? For sure! I’m thinking the next short could be entitled “I TINA” (Asimovian sci-fi reference to Neural’s robot). Would it have been better with a dog instead of a cat? Definitely! :slightly_smiling_face:

I have to say I’ve seen this QOL issues messaged a few times… It seems as easy as ABC to use, from my perspective I haven’t had an issue with how easy it is to get everything I need in it… I can’t fault the way it functions… And I get it we don’t use it exactly the same way what are the UI issues I haven’t came across them…Looking for an amp or capture I just go in have a listen don’t like what I hear I choose another one… Drives same delays revebs etc etc when happy tick and it’s now in the chain

My dyslexic friend always called the movie adaptation “I Robert”

I think users should definitely be able to voice dissatisfaction/suggestions/concerns. However, there are a few notable users on here who just seem to come her purely to complain and bash the product constantly, to the point that I can’t fathom how you could hate a product/company so much and still use it.

There’s plenty I would like them to add/fix/change, but I know full well that there’s no point constantly complaining about it. Just live with it for now, hope it gets fixed (add/vote on feature requests) and save the stress.

I think creative suggestions a cool feature request and ideas that can potentially improve something is always welcome in any of these forums… But I also think the whingers and constant moaners should be banned delete them they should just move on … I can’t say I have an issue in were the QC is at this moment…

Agreed. One of my main issues with the complaints in this forum is that it is a USER forum, with no regular participation of NDSP.

Why users complain to other users about NDSP is something I cannot understand.

I, for my part, do not feel responsible for any real or perceived shortcomings of the QC, or the fact that I still like this unit better than anything else on the market.
