[SOLVED] Change Splitter Settings on Different Scenes?

Hi,

I am TRYING to use a splitter such that in Scene A - 100% of the signal goes to the top path and 0% goes to the bottom path or row, and then in Scene B - 0% goes goes to the top row or path, and 100% goes to the bottom row or path.

FYI….. I am not “joining” back the signal path - row/path 1 (the top row) goes to the output and row /path 2 or the bottom row goes to the end or its own output; there is no joining the bottom or row 2 back into the top (FYI)

It doesn’t work? Are there any tricks that I am missing? I saw a feature request to be able to change the signal path in a splitter with foot switch assignments in stomp mode.

SURELY…. Neural wouldn’t make a signal path splitter that you could not change dynamically - either with a change in scenes or in stomp mode?

IS THERE…. a way to have Scene A send 100% of the signal to the top row/path, and then Scene B send 100% of the signal to the bottom row/path??

Thanks

AJ

Are you not able to select the level controls inside the splitter mixer with a scene? I feel like you can. Should be easy to adjust the balance or level to A or B

You can absolutely do this.

Choose “Balance” mode in the Splitter. You can scene-assign the Balance knob.

  • Turning it all the way down sets 100% of Level A, 0% of Level B
  • Turning it all the way up sets 0% of Level A, 100% of Level B

Recategorizing this as a standard forum post; it’s not a feature request.

I can set the levels of what goes to A or B…..but….. if I set it one way (say 100% to A and 0% to B) for Scene A, then it also gets set for Scene B the same way.

I cannot adjust it differently for different scenes

Check your “Scene Bypass State Behavior” setting in the Settings menu.

EDIT: Are we sure you’re using Scenes correctly? Long-press on the Splitter’s Balance knob until the ‘ABCD’ icon appears; this means the knob is Scene-assignable. Then you would need to go through each Scene and make sure it’s at the setting you want.

Sorry if you already know this, but it isn’t clear from what you’ve told us.

I appreciate the reply. It doesn’t work, unless I am missing something

  • I set the splitter to Balance Mode
  • I have the Scene - set to A; then set the Balance Knob to Zero (100% path A)
  • I hit the check to save this setting for Scene A
  • I open up again the Splitter
  • I change the Scene - set to B; then set the Balance Knob to 10 (100% path B)
  • I hit the check box, to save this setting for Scene B

HOWEVER - both Scene A and Scene B get set to the last saved balance knob adjustment. Whereas - I want Scene A to have a zero value for the balance knob, and Scene B to have a value of 10 for the balance knob.

Am I missing something - it doesn’t work.

This (using the splitter in balance mode) seems so counter intuitive to the labeling in the splitter dialog box. But either way - setting the splitter to balance, or to A-B - there is no way, that I can tell, how to set the values differently for Scene A and Scene B.

Any thoughts??

Hitting the check mark means you’re saving the whole preset. That’s not how Scenes work.

Long-press on the Balance knob icon on the screen until ‘ABCD’ appears near it. Then go through each Scene and set it where you want.

You have to press and hold on a control knob to enable it for scenes. They way this reads, you’re just pressing save in various scenes, which isn’t how you set up scenes

Glad you got it sorted out.

Look for “Scene Bypass State Behavior” in the Settings menu and look at the options there. It affects how Scene assignments work if you make changes.
