yeah, it´s a cheap extra safety + i´ve seen lots of people just get a screen protector and have it since day 2 of owning it so it´s safe to say a lot of users have them but don´t ask or talk about it so maybe the reason there´s been no issue with it is that most people have the iniciative to get a screen protector themselves

Thankfully I’m a basic bitch who keeps his QC on his desk (at least until the desktop editor releases) so I don’t have to worry about this.
Could someone give me the measurements to make an acrylic protector?
Anyone happen to know what size the nut is on the footswitch posts?
15 inch i think but why not measure it yourself… seems like the first and simplest step if you are gonna build a protector yourself

I use the screen protector made by Chad Boston of GearByCeba.com and its great. Highly recommended.
Going on three years with mine Skeen, no issues.

FWIW, I think going with an established company already (i.e. Skeen, GearByCeba) is the best way to go and it’s worth any exchange rate / wait time.
If you’re like me, though, and have access to proper tools to make said screens and covers, this little mock-up might be helpful for you (I’m no graphic designer by any means, but you get the gist).
This could also be of use if you wanted to try your hand at using a protective cover intended for another device, such as a tablet or something, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend that. Go with something designated specifically for the QC; otherwise, anything else, success or fail, is on you. Good luck!

As a new owner of QC Mini….is there anything available on the market ? Nothing for Mini, but found a lot on Amazon for normal QC, will it fit ?
Isn’t the screen exactly the same size as the standard QC? If so, the Skeen will fit.
The QC has been on the market for about 5 years now. Has anyone ever seen or heard of a physical damaged screen? Genuinely asking, because I feel like people obsess way too much over screen protectors in general. It seems to be a “solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist”. If you know what I mean.
Touchscreen on the ground…..seems to make sense to want a screen protector.
I’ve had a bunch of pedals destroyed at shows from stage divers, etc. Thankfully it’s less a concern at bigger venues, but still a concern.
Also considering how bad TSA is with checking baggage, I would want to protect the screen. I’ve gotten my pedalboard back with all my cables unwrapped and just resting on top of my board, just pressing into the screen.
I am not denying the dangers of playing live or traveling. But when someone breaks a pedal by jumping on it or spilling beer over / into it, what does the screen protector offer here? It seems to me, that it is more of a cash grab by companies than an actual problem that needs to be fixed. The screen on the QC seems to be pretty sturdy as far as I can tell. But I am happy to learn and that’s why I asked.
The screen is the weakest part and on top of the QC haha. Depends what type of screen protector, but the hard plastic ones that cover it could be very helpful. Usually those also have plastic on the body that protects it as well.
Also the hard plastic protectors for the screen can be super helpful during the set, because I’ve had sweat drip on to the QC and it’s caused some settings or the view to change.
My quads also have gotten pretty decent chips in the metal body. Would have been bad if it happened on the screen. Also the hard plastic protectors would help prevent this.
Having been through 4 QC’s in a few years from heavy touring…..I would protect the unit more with all of these reasons.
You can actually lock the screen for live. Just as a side note.
And what the hell are you doing to your QCs if you destroyed 4 of them within 5 years or so? 
honestly got my first in 2023 so it hasn’t even been THAT long haha. It’s always been hardware issues with the units unfortunately. I protect them the best I can otherwise
