I have a fixed tempo per preset that comes from the quad to external pedals.
In the haste of using the tuner I have occasionally gone into tap tempo mode by mistake and changed my tempo.
Although I need the quad’s tempo feature, I cant find a way of disabling going into tap tempo mode altogether.
I either have to tap the correct tempo in or exit the preset and come back to reset it correctly. All of which adds a little more panic than I care for.
Is there a way to disable, or is there a quick way of returning to default tempo asap?
When you go into the Tempo menu, the tempo should not change until you tap again. So you should be able to exit without chanigng the tempo.
However, not exactly what you asked for, but you can go in Settings and swap the Tuner and Tempo triggers, so that a long press goes to Tempo, which should make it less likely to be triggered.
Yes, I’ve done that in the heat of a Rock n Roll frenzy, myself. If you hit the foot switch for the preset you’re in, it will recall the preset with it’s default settings. Not optimal but at least it’ll get you back to start.
