Hello Neural DSP Team,
I would like to suggest a workflow and UI improvement for the Quad Cortex regarding live volume management.
The Current Problem:
While CorOS allows for independent volume adjustments for different outputs (XLR, TRS, Headphones), accessing the I/O menu via the touchscreen during a live performance is slow and impractical for quick, on-the-fly adjustments.
The Proposed Solution:
Please introduce a quick-access icon on the main display that temporarily assigns the rotary footswitches to act as independent volume knobs for specific outputs.
• Functionality: Tapping this icon would turn, for example, Footswitch A into the XLR volume control, Footswitch B into the TRS volume control, and Footswitch C into the Headphone volume control.
• Master Control: The main physical volume knob would continue to function as the Global Master (or however the user has assigned it globally).
Why this matters:
Live musicians frequently need to adjust their personal monitoring (like headphones or stage wedges) mid-performance without affecting the main signal sent to the Front of House (FOH). Utilizing the existing rotary footswitches provides immediate, tactile control without menu-diving, maximizing the potential of the Quad Cortex’s unique hardware interface.
Thank you for considering this quality-of-life improvement.
