Question about turning on the unit

When you are not using the QC, do you disconnect the power cord? Do you always leave it connected and put the unit in standby mode?
The manual says that it is not recommended to turn off the unit by unplugging the cord (there is a logic to this) and that is what I always do. But, is the correct way to turn on this unit by simply connecting the power cord?

A socket with a switch or extension lead with a switch to turn off power to the QC after you turn the unit off by it’s own switch…

Turn off the unit by holding the power button, and selecting the option to shut the unit down from the menu that pops up.

To turn the unit back on, aren’t you able to just press the power button instead of getting an extra switch or unplugging it??

you can; but people commonly use the switch in case of power failure- if your power goes out and the QC is unattended, it will turn on automatically when the power is restored.

I just leave mine in standby when I’m not using it.

Makes sense, but just trying to let the OP know they don’t need some elaborate setup for turning on/off the QC. It does have a way to control the power on the unit (aside from the small chance of losing power)

My QC is going to be used in my recording studio. At the end of the work day all the equipment is turned off using the main switches. The next day when I turn on the equipment QC will start up even if it is not going to be used. It seems strange to me that QC does not have a small on/off switch integrated.
