Quad Cortex with Midi Guitar 3 app and iPad and bypassing synth sound

For those using a Quad Cortex with midi guitar 3, I am trying to switch between the synth and dry signal using the actual switches on the Quad Cortex itself. I can achieve just the synth sound by soloing the USB signal but cannot get just the guitar signal with any of the solo or mute options available.

Are you running MIDI guitar 3 standalone? If so it might be easier to do your switching on/off if you run it through MainStage/Ableton on your laptop or AUM/Loopy Pro on your iPad. It’s much easier to program those app to switch on and and off, rather than MIDI Guitar 3

Thanks for your reply. Some of the synths I use are not supported by AUM so am trying to do this on the Quad Cortex footswitches or with midi.
