Quad Cortex Stomp Mode

On the Quad Cortex, is it possible to set Stomp mode so that whenever you step on a new pedal, it deactivates the pedal that was previously activated (rather than stack the new pedal on top of the previous one?)

Thanks!

Yes, you can use a single Stomp to activate a block while simultaneously deactivating a different block.

After you have made your block assignments, simply turn off one of the blocks. Pressing the switch will now switch back and forth between the two.

Thanks very much for the info

Ok that sounds good - is that something you have to setup in the settings (ie so one stomp push activates one pedal but deactivates the previous one that was selected?) or is that the default? My new QC arrives tomorrow and just planning on how to set everything up (Scenes vs Stomp)

Thanks again!

You can actually just do it on the grid by double-tapping one of the blocks to turn it off. Since that block is still assigned to the Stomp switch, it simply reverses the order. Thankfully this feature isnā€™t menu-divey.

keep in mind though that on the QC this is not a Global action that can be set to default values- it is a per-preset, per-block setting that will have to be configured each time you need that setup.

If you are going to be using a switch to toggle between 2 specific fx blocks pretty often, it might be good to save a ā€˜templateā€™ preset with those 2 blocks set up in this configuration, and then you can build your subsequent presets around it.
You also have the option to ā€œsave parameters as Defaultā€ on individual blocks, you could try this menu option once youā€™ve set the blocks up to your liking- this would be the closest thing to a general/Global solution the QC offers so far.

They implemented the multi-stomp feature a few updates ago. I use one stomp to switch an overdrive on plus a different EQ block and also have a short reverb which is mostly on all the time to a different long reverb. I think you can toggle between as much effects blocks as you want in one single stomp.
