Quad Cortex MSRP Decrease

As of October 2, 2023, the MSRP for Quad Cortex has been decreased.

The supply chain disruptions experienced globally throughout and beyond COVID-19 translated into extremely long lead times for critical electronic components.

This resulted in us having to buy parts from resellers at outrageous prices and forced us to buy enough stock for at least a year to ensure adequate delivery times for our vendors, which translated into a price increase in June 2021.

We are pleased to say that the supply chain has finally normalized, and we have worked through most of our inventory. Since we can now produce the Quad Cortex at a lower cost, we’d like to pass on those savings to you.

Effective October 2, the global MSRP for Quad Cortex is €1699 (inc VAT) / $1699.

This is good news for those who are considering the QC. For those of us who already paid a premium perhaps Neural can offer a complimentary plugin. For example such as the Plini which was communicated as the next for use on the QC.

Pretty awesome! As mentioned, would be cool if neural could comp us a plug-in or two or some coupons

…or an extended warranty? actually, the price difference is quite large

Or perhaps Rabea, because I really want the compressor, but don’t really need the rest!

Eh, cool but could’ve used the price drop three weeks ago when I bought mine from Thomann… o:

Although it seems like thomann has not dropped the price yet.

Anyways, cool beans

I bought my unit a few weeks ago. Not even one month has passed. And now this decrease in price… This is a real pity where in my country 100€ difference means a lot when converted to Turkish Lira. The idea of offering at least one Plug-in such as Plini or another to the owners of QC who bought it with higher price would be well appreciated actually.

Less than 30 days? Can’t return it and or refund the difference?

Wonder if this actually has anything to do with the Tonemaster Pro by fender being released

If the F-TP had all the same features and competed with QC, possibly but no, the MSRP change is due to the supply chain limitations normalizing.

It has everything to do with it!

:joy: You are mistaken!

It’s cool and all but being someone that payed close to €2000 for my QC I’m sorry to say I feel a little crap about this one. I never complained about the plug in compatibility delays, the password leak, the weeks of waiting for the qc to come into stock, the lack of communication from ndsp. For those of us who jumped on qc early you might remember it wasn’t easy. But to have another few hundred euros slash of the value of my qc :grimacing:, I can’t say this doesn’t sting.

I feel the same. Doesn’t seem fair for the first buyers.

I hope that the difficulty in finding the electronic components has not led to quality defects, that’s why I have proposed an extension of the warranty for the early buyers

It’s a very good idea actually, extra 2 years of warranty would be great. I love my QC, still I have had my share of volume pot and wifi issues, and I’m not sure if they are software related

What say you NDSP? Are you going to make things right for your early supporters?

NDSP doesn’t usually monitor the threads so you might be better served to shoot them an email. It couldn’t hurt

I can vouch for the fact that if you email Neural (support@neuraldsp.com), they will reply and are very helpful - I would say that you have discussed it on the forum, say there is a lot of support for ideas like a plug-in or extended warranty and paste a link to this thread. Like with all things, if you don’t ask you don’t get!

I see in the US, UK, and Europe the Quad Cortex and the Tone master Pro are now virtually the same price, but here in Australia the retailers are selling the QC for $700 more than the Tone master even after the QC price drop.
