Quad Cortex Features

Hello there guys and girls.

I just migrated from Helix to Quad Cortex. I got mine yesterday… I didn’t sleep too much and I got some very good tones…

I don’t understand few things so… please bear with me and help IF you can.

  1. i have some great thirs party IR that I also used in few units including my ex Helix - very good ones
  • I have managed to upload them to the cloud pretty hard but I can’t load them on my QC. what am I doing wrong?
  • On th ecloud I only have the delete button for the IRs
  1. I want to finish a Steve Ray Vaughan preset which has a Rotary on it and I can’t seem to ASSIGN the FAST / SLOW Speed on a STOMP button so i can turn it on and or of from slow to fast…I don’t want to use an expression pedal - I would use a button as a stomp .

I have some other questions but these are bugging me so far .

Thank you

My name is MikeVlahopol on the cloud.
Follow me for cool tones and presets .
Much appreciated.

Pretty sure you can’t assign the speed of the rotary as a stomp. You can assign the rotary itself to a footswitch as a stomp. It’s possible you could have two rotary blocks. Assign the fast and slow each to a switch.

You’ll need to make it change with a scene if you want control of it further/use it as one block. QC footswitch assignments are different than Helix. Helix does allow you to basically do anything with footswitches, midi, etc. QC is a bit more limited

I am a new user and of course I have to learn a lot .

I don’t wanna sound impolite to the company but on the Helix you would right click on a button / long press and you can assign that function to whatever you want > pedal > button > efx pedal > whatever / wherever.

and I am sure this can be fixed with the next upgrade…
I am very conformable using both the Helix and the Quad on Hybrid mode …
4 presets + 4 scenes
on this scenario i am already losing 4 scenes (a to d) so making 2 scenes is not an option for me…

I already have a list with features that I can’t see on the Quad which I really miss.
Over all I think the Quad sounds better but I still would want to see things fixed and added … .

Thank you so much for your kind answers .

kind regards
