Quad Cortex Development Update #46 CorOS 3.0.0 and PCOM

Have they given any indication of when Mateus Asato and/or the Morgan Collection will be available for use on the QC? I was kind of hoping since they were released so recently, theyre already up-to-date with whatever is needed to get them on the QC

No word yet. Soldano SLO100 and Fortin Nameless are the next ones to get the ‘X’ update.

Hi sorry im new to the forum and this might not be the place t oput this but what would be an amazing use for bass is a mix level on all the cabs. its nice to be able to get that di sound through without having to use a whole split on my signal chain. Any chance of this on the new update?

there is a BLEND function coming with the next update, but we’re not exactly sure how that’ll work yet.

This is a significant update, but please please please please please…midi learn function. It’s truly a pain in the ass to program the FCB1010 to conform to the per-determined CC numbers within the QC.

I wonder what the time frame is on the update as well. Looking forward to being able to trigger multiple midi commands per scene. Currently only running an H9 in the loop due to limited midi functionality.

What’s the difference between transpose and pitch shifter, to me, it does the same so why adding the transpose function ?

To my knowlegde, pitch shifter is monophonic (works well with single notes not as good for chords) whereas transpose is a truly polyphonic shifter.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case- transpose is also monophonic (directly confirmed by NDSP).
They have not disclosed the difference between the two; my guess is the Transpose function is just being added so plugin presets will translate to the QC

Strange… I tried plugin Transpose and it worked perfectly as a true Transpose… maybe different from plugin the QC block?

A lot of users feel the plugin version works better, but surprisingly it’s also monophonic. Hopefully we’ll find out eventually if there’s a difference between the two

Starting to sweat over here. What’s going to happen first: CorOS 3 becomes available, the IR-2 vaporware finally ships, or the new Tonex One is delivered on time?

Any bets?

“…will be released in Q2”.

We are currently 26 days into Q2, and have over two months left. If you’re sweating already, you’re gonna have a bad time.

I was sweating out the race between the Mod Devices Dwarf and the QC when it was originally announced. I ordered them both and didn’t know which would be released first (they both had huge delays)

Eventually the MOD showed up first, but once the QC finally arrived the Dwarf never got plugged in again.

I mean, I love mine; it’s my main piece of gear and it sounds absolutely fantastic. But I’ve definitely got gas building for QOL improvements in this update.

“Transpose: Pitch your guitar up or down by a constant interval (+12/-12 semitones). Use this to easily change the tuning of your instrument.”

This description on plugins truly made me think its a polyphonic shifter… “easily change the tuning” and the name Transpose mislead me… a bit dissapointed is not a “true” transpose although I did like the plugin version when I tried it…

Where did anyone see that transpose is monophonic? I don’t think it is the one in the plugin it’s not and even the normal pitch shifter can handle chords on a guitar so definitely not monophonic.

NDSP answered my direct support inquiry saying it is NOT polyphonic.
They won’t get more specific than that, just that it works a “different way” but “does behave quite well and performs very well”
