Dan,

Be honest : for non-plugins owner, do you really think that this update fulfill the promise ‘there will always be free updates’ and ‘this is not a paywall’ ?

Zero new amp, pedal, effect for non-plugins owners.
Minor quality of life features and a metronome ? After more than 9 months ! Really ?

I’m done.

The most underwhelming update to date. No new effects, amps or cabs. No love for those that don’t want plugins.

Added: For those who think I, and apparently others as well, hate the QC, well, I don’t. In fact I (mostly) really like the unit. It sounds great. It was expensive. There were promises of new effects, amps and cabs. They’re not there. Still. What I don’t like is the extreme focus on plug-ins drawing away the attention of promises made.

Thank you for the update. But I concur with the others. For people that do not want to buy DLC (plugins), we got after a year:

  1. live tuner
  2. metronome
  3. looper improvements
  4. sidechain improvements
  5. small ui improvements
  6. codec support (doesn’t affect existing users)

If you are not a live player feature 1 is not relevant; I personally use my phone for the metronome so that’s not really useful either. 6 only applies to new users. So at the end the ‘general population’ of the qc got some very small qol features.

I do not see any reason to spend hundreds of $$$ on DLC for a unit that I’ve already spent $1500 on.

&$%€ the haters, this is awesome. I have the Nolly, Cory Wong, and Parallax plug-ins, so I’m stoked to try these out on the QC.

EDIT: As an electrical engineer in manufacturing who has had to work on component replacement in hardware (due to manufacturers obsoleting critical parts), I have seen firsthand how much that can push back development and support. The codec replacement issue definitely threw them off for a few months. Hopefully we’re back on track and moving forward again.

You forgot the new option to turn on the LEDs of inactive scenes switches. That one is huge if you are playing on a dark stage.

So the update just came out, but I already found a bug, when you have some effect in stomp mode, in momentary, even leaving it disabled, when changing to scene mode, and stepping on the selected scene that has some stomp turned off that activated via momentary switch, now it always stays on, even if you put it in bypass, when changing the scene it becomes active again

the new LED options are very useful, happy with my bass tones but might give parallax a go to tide me over until the Rabea synth.

They took a while to put the momentary mode in, in one update, in the other almost a year later it becomes unusable.

I don’t have the plugins (nor intend to purchase them for now), but I’m glad they managed to clear the hurdle they were facing and deliver the update, hopefully the next one will be faster.

But then again, I’m very happy with my QC right now and am only hoping for a few things (Micropitch block, ability to insert a preset in the middle of a list, perhaps something resembling the Song/Set modes on Rocktron/Fractal/a few more brands,…and that’s about it). It’s a brilliant piece of kit and a critical part of my workflow that makes my life as a gigging guitarist much easier.

…so, thank you NDSP.

Ideed, it is a good update for people that paid for plugins.
For the rest, well…

What annoys me if that I really hoped that NDSP would keep their promises of adding new amps, effects, etc.. free for everyone and PCOM would be an ‘added bonus for Plugins owners’.

This 3.2 update clearly shows it is NOT the case.

I own Nolly & Wong, so I’m covered with this update, but still, I hoped for more free content.

Some calls me ‘hater’ for simply reminding NDSP their own words, I really don’t care.
I use my QC nearly everyday, and still love it, but I simply can’t understand the way NDSP treats their customers…

Peace.

Doesn’t NDSP give a free plugin when buying the QC?

if you thought pcom was a good idea you knew you’d be paying for those plug in licenses to leverage it.

Agree this was an under the hood update but it’s a big one to be appreciated.

what happened to 3.1.1, however. lol.

“we stated that ESS codec support would be included in a separate CorOS update (3.1.1). However, due to last-minute issues identified by our Quality Assurance team, we postponed that release. Once the issues were resolved, CorOS 3.2.0 was nearly complete, so we chose to merge the two updates.”

Neural does not give a free plugin when you buy the QC. It was only a brief promotion. I know this because I own two QC’s.

I am very happy with the update. It’s been awhile…

The Cory Wong Plugin sounds amazing! The metronome (even with a little drum kit) is useful too. Now I can leave my phone aside in several situations. Is there a way to mute the metronome instantly outside of the tempo menu with one click? If not - please make that possible!

Happy to see the update! I know this was a big hurdle with the codec and parallax. Here’s to hoping for continued progress now those are out of the way!

I’m trying to make sure I understand what you are saying…

There was a previous issue in hybrid mode - here’s an example: in Scene 1, activate a block with a stomp foot switch. Now switch to Scene 2, and that block that was activated in Scene 1 is still on, rather than taking on the Scene 2 preset. This was a showstopper for me, and I am glad that Neural gave us the option to change that behavior.

Is this the issue that you are referring to, or are you talking about something else?

@dan

Metronome :ok_hand:t2:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! This is the feature I have most wanted, and now it has arrived. Chuffed

In a previously saved scene, I had 2 effects that were activated in stomp mode, via footswitch, configured as momentary, but now with this update, these effects are on all the time, and it is only possible to deactivate the effect with the momentary, but turning the effect on is not possible, because now it is only on all the time, the solution I found was to change to on and off mode, then it works perfectly, but the momentary is now only to turn off
