Curious if I’m able to hook my New QC into my Katana Head MK1 and just use the built in 5" speaker on the katana head whilst waiting for my usb-b to usb-c to hook into my macbook pro to arrive. Id like to just play at low volume for now so I don’t wanna run the QC into my Cab and would like to use the speaker in the head of possible. I’m green to the QC and Al of this stuff so I don’t know where to begin with what cables would go where and whatnot.
If your Katana has an FX loop, plug the QC output into the FX return and disable any cab / IR blocks. I thought the Katana has a power amp only input which would be the same thing essentially. Either way, if the Katana isn’t FRFR it will likely sound 100% better disabling the cab/IR blocks.
Thank all of you guys so much, this is exactly what I did and it’s been working so well, unreal how good it sounds even when I’m just practicing through the 5” speaker inside the Katana head.
