I frequently use the Quad Cortex as my primary USB audio interface, meaning it stays powered on for extended periods while I am at my computer. Currently, the screen remains on indefinitely, which is distracting and creates unnecessary wear on the display. Even at its lowest brightness setting, the screen is quite bright in a studio environment.
Proposed Solution: Please implement a “Screen Timeout” or “Sleep Mode” setting that allows the display to turn off automatically after a user-defined period of inactivity (e.g., 1, 5, or 10 minutes).
Functionality Details:
-
Trigger: The timer should start when there is no physical interaction with the device (no footswitch presses, screen swipes, or knob turns).
-
Wake: The screen should instantly wake up upon any physical interaction or when touching the display.
-
Audio Continuity: The device must continue to process audio and function as an audio interface while the screen is “asleep.”
This is a standard feature for most digital interfaces and would be a significant quality-of-life improvement for those of us using the QC in a desktop/studio setting.
