So i’ve got the cortex and am generally pleased so far! 
I have a free gift in my ilok account but can i get it No! Can someone explain the process pleaase… I’m sure I wont be the only one struggling with this I’m pretty tech savy on most things… Thanks in advance Mike
how far past this part did you get?
I’m waiting until a couple of more options are available before downloading my first gifted plugin. Have a question. Can you only download an “X” version of the plugin? Or, do you download the “standard” DAW version and also receive the “X” version (if it exists)? In other words, do you get a plugin that will work with your DAW as well as the “X” version for the QC? Assuming you do.
‘X’ versions are not unique to Quad Cortex PCOM only. They include other changes for the DAW / standalone version as well.
For example–I had the old version of the Gojira plug-in before. Then it got updated to Gojira X, and I benefitted from the extra features that the DAW and standalone versions of the plug-in included. Then PCOM finally became available in the QC with CorOS 3.0, so I now have Gojira X on both my Mac and in my QC.
For my free gift plug-in, I chose the Mateus Asato because I already have a bunch of the others. It will get updated to an X version at some point.
EDIT: Maybe double-check and make sure you can still get your free gift plug-in, because the promotional period is now over…
