Hey Roelj, I’m trying to figure out a way to play audio through my QC (so I can play a sample for my band’s live intro) and stumbled upon this post. I have an android phone + a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter already. How would I set/connect everything up so I can play some audio that would go to the XLR out (and FOH)?
Hey @ChrisBlock . Sorry for the late reply, I don’t visit the forums often anymore. If you are still looking for a solution then we can try and get the android app working for you.
You can find my contact details on Github (GitHub - roelj/QCCompanion: Android App to use with a NeuralDSP Quad Cortex.), or private message me.
that is a wonderful idea… I have been using Headrush products before I got my QC but all headrush products had the feature that you can play mp3 files with the looper. you can actually play and stop with the foot switches as well… I am really surprised how QC doesn’t have this feature…
It’s a missed opportunity to put the QC at the top of the food chain for modellers. IDK if it’s just me, but there seems to be some sort of ‘snobbery’ about using loopers; like you’re not a real musician if you’re using backing tracks and loops, and maybe Neural want the QC to be seen as a serious tool for ‘real’ musicians’. Which is a shame because I bet the majority of us QC owners aren’t composing our own music as part of a 5 piece band and then performing in front of 100,000 people every weekend, but instead probably play covers, with limited resources, in which case backing tracks/ability to store loops permanently would be a game changer.
Either way Neural don’t seem to show much interest in this sadly
