these are fucking mint! thanks a bunch!
I recently bought an 8 string and all my les paul presets weren’t really translating well.
this really sent in me in the right direction.
Glad you found them useful man!
I made an account to just tell you thanks so much man! I am awful at dialing in tones and I bought Omega ampworks to record with. You had some rhythm presets that were pretty great for breakdowns and riffs. Really made my life easier on the 8 string! Post a reply if you update the file with more tones for Chugging and breakdowns! Sounds amazing!

Thanks for the kind words!
I just added 6 new presets based on Immortal “At The Heart of Winter” and “Sons of Northern Darkness”, called “WinterHeart” and “NorthernDark”, you can find them here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xkihRA0N4pKITKuKuBhXhZXtXnNXuZQn
If you want to hear how they sound you can check out some Immortal covers I made on my YT channel:
hey stumbled onto the forums but have been using your presets that someone linked on the FB users group. Awesome stuff man, thank you so much for your time and effort on these presets.
cheers mate
Do you have anything that would be good for Meshuggah? I’m really digging the new album and trying to recreate the tone like the following video:
I could work on it. I’ll try to come up with some presets in the next days
Fantastic!! … Can’t thank you enough!! I’m new to this amp and loving it. I appreciate all the work you put into these patches.
Hi.
Is it possible to get Black Sabbath style tones out of Granophyre?
I’m using a Les Paul… anything that resembles Tony Iommi’s earlier Black Sabbath tones would work.
Any chance you could do a preset the gets me close to the Cleveland Hardcore band Integrity as well (something close to their tone on the records “Humanity is the Devil”)?
Thank you for any kind of help in advance!
Hi.
Just checking back. Any chance some of kind of Black Sabbath like preset could be done for Granophyre?
Kind regards.
Cheers
Does anyone have any presets or work around for what dan from aborted uses in his playthrough videos?
Hey, that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing your 14 new presets for the Neural DSP Omega Ampworks Granophyre amp sim. It sounds like a great resource for anyone looking to dial in some new tones for rhythm and lead parts. I’m sure those detailed filenames with mic setups and power tubes will make it super easy for people to understand and experiment with different sounds. It’s awesome that you intend to make additional presets for the Granophyre down the line as well. Also, good thinking regarding the product category—let’s hope that a moderator can figure that one out soon. Thanks for putting in the effort on this!
I have recently purchased the Omega Ampworks Granophyre plugin and absolutely love the tones in this plugin.
I am pretty new to this game and wondered if it is possible to get this tone onto the Nano Cortex, and if so how.
I have only recently found the plugins as a way to enter the world of Neural DSP, and have been holding of buying any hardware Nano, or the Quad Cortex until I can find out if the plugin can be used on those devices.
Any feedback would be greatly received.
Quad Cortex:
The long term goal is that all plug-ins will be ported over to QC. It is taking a long time, though. CorOS 3.2.0 is the next major update which will open up Cory Wong X, Parallax X, and Nolly X for QC. Granophyre hasn’t been announced yet–and the plug-in itself still needs to be updated to an ‘X’ version before a QC update can take it anyway. Sit tight, it’s going to be a while.
Nano Cortex:
Nano is meant to run only on captures and a handful of overdrive blocks. It doesn’t run plug-ins like the QC can.
For either the QC or the Nano, there are captures available on Cortex Cloud for the Omega Granophyre, both of the plug-in itself and the real amplifier.
Thanks for the detailed reply. So it looks like my options are sit tight (for now) until the plugin is eventually ported over to the QC unit, or take the plunge now and buy the Nano and find a capture on the cortex cloud.
Do whatever works best for you, but I wouldn’t hang a hardware purchase decision exclusively on the presence of the Granophyre plug-in.
Modeling hardware is a big investment that gives so many more options. There are more effects and amp types available in the Quad Cortex that are not available in plug-in form. The QC also currently has SLO-100, Nameless, Gojira, and Plini plug-ins*. They sound great.
I don’t have a Nano and therefore can’t speak for it.
*EDIT: You would need to own the license for the plug-in in order to use it on the Quad Cortex.
