Noise Floor Increase on FX Loop

CorOS Version: 3.0.1

Describe your issue:
When engaging an FX Loop send/return block, I am getting a noise floor/hiss increase of at least +6dB. My send levels in the hardware menu are set to -4.5dB for unity gain as they always have been. Even if I plug a cable directly from Send 1 to Return 1, I get the same noise increase.

Steps to reproduce your issue:

  1. Add FX Loop 1 block to grid.
  2. Engage FX Loop 1, noise occurs.
  3. Disengage Fx Loop, noise subsides.

I expected this to happen:
Before updating to 3.0.1, I did not have this hiss increase with the FX Loop on either Send 1 or Send 2.

I have tried the following things:

  • I have tried multiple cables.
  • I have only using a cable between Send and Return.
  • I have tried one true bypass pedal in Loop 1.

Here is a video showing the problem

I think I have a very similar problem, but mine pre-dates 3.0.1 I believe. Have you contacted support?

I had that pre-3.0.n with my distortions and fuzz pedals. I figured there where suitable replacements in the QC so I just disgarded them.

Yes and I got a rather blow off answer:

"Thanks for getting in touch. This is expected behaviour fortunately.

There was a bug fix in 3.0.1 - An issue where the level measured for a mono FX Loop Return device was 3dB lower than when using a stereo FX Loop Return device."

Fortunately??? I beg to differ hahah
