No Sound After Update?

Updated to CorOS 3.3.0.

-Rebooted-plugged into monitors (XRL) to Out 1L/Out 2R

-Plugged guitar into Input, opened Tuner-Guitar does not show as being plugged in. I can rotate thru screens-Presets-but no sound out to studio monitors.

Tried plugging into Laney LFR-112 with a single XRL cable-No Sound-either at the tuner or any preset! Swapped out guitars and cables (3 different guitars & cables)I have the CIOKS power supply and the QC on a small pedal board. No expression pedal!

Contacted Support and sent Diagnostic report from QC as they asked.

Returning to trying to “learn” the QC after a lengthy illness. Have to be honest, this has really caused a lot of anxiety, due to the cost of this. Was wondering if anybody has experienced this issue at all. Thanks in advance.

have you tried the Factory power supply? Let it set for a bit, then reboot it a few more times.

I got the QC last week and it was fantastic at first. However, after updating to firmware 3.3.0, I started getting a humming noise from OUT 1. I tried using OUT 2 and it was normal. The noise still here even I shut down the QC but it gone only when I disconnected the power. Eventually, the dealer arranged a replacement.

I received the new unit yesterday, but after updating to the latest firmware, I’m getting humming from OUT 1 again. Strangely, I also noticed humming from OUT 2 today.

I’m not sure whether this is related to firmware 3.3.0, as I haven’t found any similar reports online. I’ve tested with different amps and cables, disconnected all inputs, and performed a factory reset, but no luck.

I’ve now emailed support to see if they can help resolve the issue—otherwise I may have to return it and choose something else.

Anyway, hope you can get this sorted out.

Are you advocating removing the the QC from the board (CIOKS/Crux) and just use the QC with it’s supplied power cord? From a power perspective, I would think I have more than enough. What would be the reason the QC fails to recognize an instrument plugged in, yet no sound? I mean, it boots up and all-just no sound-so, if it’s booting up, where would the “power” issue be? Waiting to hear back from Neural Support as I sent logs today. Frustration is off the charts!!

Power supply is one of the only other factors that can impact output levels. It’s a longshot in this case, but since you posted here for input I’m trying to think of anything that might help.

The CIOKS is notorious in QC circles for a common error where it accidentally gets set to 9v instead of 12. Whether that’s possible or not in your case, it doesn’t hurt to check all options and certainly the first thing NDSP will ask is if you’ve tried the factory PSU.

Most likely Output failure requires returning the unit for hardware repair

Did you perform a Factory Reset of the unit since updating?

CIOKS/Crux is set for 12v.

Factory Reset executed per Neural Support Team-Plugged in studio monitors, plugged in guitar and opened tuner-No sound. No sound from monitors as well as on the I/O screen, it shows the guitar being plugged in (green)-Speaker inputs are “grayed out”. Yes, I went out and bought new XLR cables. I can move around screens but no sound is obtained when I plug into a FRFR or my small studio JBL’s. Thanks for your earlier response.

Just waiting to see if Neural wants the unit back and more importantly, how much this is going to cost me.

Try switching your input from line to mic and back again, it worked for the one time it occurred a while ago. Otherwise hopefully support will get you sorted quickly
