Since the last update using the tuner sometimes leads to the QC freezing, switching scenes on some presets comes with delay and Cortex Control drains the laptop battery like crazy (from about 20 hour use time down to less then 4).
I am very sure that this is a software issue, as I own two QC and both have the same problem since updating.
I wrote NDSP, they replied and after some back and forth they went silent. More than two weeks now. Had this before multiple times.
Are you using the same email thread? If not try to get back on it. They tell you to stay on it. Again, I’ve had really good support with them. The first time I wrote them I used different email threads and I didn’t get a reply. That’s when they said please stay on the same thread. Haven’t had an issue since.
Yes I am aware of that, but thanks.
I have been in contact with them many times over the years as I had to send in multiple units and ran into countless issues. I stated this before on this forum and it still holds true: the support is quick to respond initially but if a problem isn’t easy to fix, they often just go silent.
They did reply now so let’s see what will happen next.
Might sound like a silly question, but are you sure you don’t have a block in one of your presets with a scene changing between a known drop in audio? For instance, the JP2C block (CA John’s 2C Ch2/Ch3) have a note that cycling between the gain pull and shred switches will “cause a brief mute”.
Can’t speak the for the Tuner issue, but have you done a factory reset? This happens with the most modern devices, software hangup with the best solution at times is a factory reset.
Laptop battery issue, highly likely this isn’t the QC. What are you plugging in to your PC for? If your using it as an interface, your asking you the computer to do more and be and be awake the whole time. Just running your DAW with any other interface will likely net you the same results. Either way, a 20hr battery life on a laptop will only come with some variation of power saving options selected.
As for the customer support, I don’t it’s fair for anyone to weigh in without seeing ALL of the traffic with time stamps.
