Nano Cortex fails to boot up

I’ve encountered a problem when I try to boot up my nano cortex. I plug the nano cortex in as I’ve done many times before but this time after a few seconds of plugging in, the nano cortex goes into its « preboot phase » with the few lights showing as usual but it never goes into performance mode. After I’ve waited about a few minutes, half of the nano cortex lights up but all of the controls are unresponsive presumably because of the control lock (exit button feature) but it never boots up fully so I can’t connect it to my phone and am unable to figure out a way to fix it. The power supply doesn’t seem to be the problem since I’ve used it many times before and I’ve tried multiple different power supply and even via usbc but to no effects. I’ve also tried booting it up with nothing else connected but it still doesnt work. All the buttons are unresponsive and I can’t seem to find a way to factory reset it.

Just had this issue myself. That’s how I found this post. I noticed in the current update said This hotfix includes a fix for a boot issue that could occur when using expression or MIDI pedals. I don’t use either of those so I did the opposite. I unplugged the power to put a 1/4 patch cable in the expression input and then powered it on. It fixed mine immediately not sure if it is the fix for all with this issue but worth a try and I hope it works!

I did experience your issue in an earlier patch and that it was fixed with the next update. However, what I experienced on my nano cortex was completely different (even with newer version installed), the nano cortex did not boot up fully at all and so I couldn’t perform the factory reset as described in the manual (the buttons light up but were non-functional, basically the device got bricked). So I did end up having to send it back to nano cortex for repair, luckily the repair cost was covered by warranty and I got it back after about a month. I think it might’ve had something to do with the hardware of the nano cortex rather than that of a software problem but neural dsp did not say anything about what happened. I’ve only had the device for around 6 months up to that point and it was used exclusively as an at home practice amp so I find it strange that it failed that early. Hopefully it’s only a one off occurrence but I just thought it might be something interesting to keep in mind!
