I have been trying to find those colored jack screws. Where did you get yours from? Your board is a blueprint I am going to follow. It is finally exactly what I envisioned mine when I think about what it should look like.
Also the bottom bracket to secure your battery bank is a nice touch.
Are you able to use the Quad Cortex with the battery pack after it’s battery is depleted? Can you plug into a wall and play using it corded?
Again, absolute perfect build.

Thats the 529m? I love this build so much
Again, absolute perfect build.
EDIT: Looking at the last shot showing the underside of your board, what is the power cord for? Is that connected to your power bank somehow to plug in when battery has been depleted?
The cord/plug you see in the bottom is to plug into the mounted charging block and then out to the AC outlet for charging the battery.
After that picture, I removed the cord and keep it separate now (less clutter on bottom of board) and just plug it in through the easy access panel on the side where I mounted the charging block.
There is a red and black cable that came with my Voodoo Power 2 Plus, and it plugs directly into only the Kristona 50,000 Power Bank (red end) and the Quad Cortex (Black End) and that’s it.
I am powered up with sound both through amp and headphones, everything looks working correctly. It appears I don’t need the 529M.
I am amazed right now. The Krisdona 50k PS has already a DC out, and I select voltage on the PS as well.
I can’t tell you what the cable is that was included with the Voodoo 2 Plus other than it’s red on one end, and black on the other.
It’s a great day. Dead simple and I am correct in thinking I can possibly return the 529M now. Can anyone explain why people are using the 529M with the Krisdona 50,000?
Why have I never seen a build QC directly to Battery bank? I’ll be posting photos shortly.
I thought I needed the 529M usb converter. That is not true. If you have the correct dc 9v cable you can power the QC directly from the Krisdona 50,000mAh power bank.
It’s dead simple. Plug and play. No settings to fuss with.
Only encountered one issue. Opening the krisdona PB it arrived with a 90% charge. I could not charge beyond this initially. Upon first use I only got 50 mins of juice at first.
First full charge got to 90% and that lasted 4 hours.
2nd full charge again from 0% this time charged to 100%. Happy to say it’s day 2 and still at 58%. This PB lasts in my experience so far 10 hours.
Truly a fully wireless rig. Spark link for both guitar AND amp input. It’s amazing.
Not clear on how you are charging this… did you wire a port to the board itself?
Can you play while charging?
I’ve got an active Lehle expression pedal, Line 6 G50 receiver and possibly a Temple Audio dual DI module. Would the battery be capable of powering them through the USB ports?
I am using the normal cable from the PB to charge it. I get around 8 hours of battery and I can play while charging. I now have a larger Shure wirless because the Line 6 was TERRIBLE!
1: thank you. I’m happy with it. A lot. Been building for months waiting for everything to come together and everything to arrive. Mainly the board and temple audio plates and accessories.
2: I charge using the Krisdona power supply included with the power bank. It has a dc in port for the charger. I just keep in backpack. It’s cleaner that way than to attach under the board permanently.
3: absolutely can play and charge
4: I am sure you cab use the dual ports as well. It’s capable of charging/powering devices through all ports simultaneously.
Honestly this is a very cheap build all things considered what you get with this set up.
Temple audio solo17 $130
Krisdona PS $210
Mod plates >$120
2 sets of Positive Grid Link $360
The only fly in the ointment is the power dc cable. I use one I had laying around unused that came with the VooDoo power supply. I can give an update on a similar cable I bought new that I haven’t tried yet to ensure it works. When I get home I’ll test and post update.
Entirely wireless. Both amp and guitar. And couldn’t recommend enough THIS is the way.
With these tones and build - I’ve dreamed of all my life and it’s done searching for it.
I’ve just got this on Amazon, and so far I’m really impressed;
The Krisdonia batteries aren’t available in the UK, so I originally bought one that is branded ‘Volessence’. It appears to be identical to the Krisdonia, however it was hard to get hold of a 50,000mAh one, so I bought the 25,000.
I got around 4 hours of charge for the QC with this, which fits with the suggestion that you’ll get around 8 hours with the 50k battery. However the one that was delivered to me was meant to be brand new and was very clearly used (scratches on the metal casing, cables tangled up in the box) so I sent it back.
I was considering holding out for a 50k one, but then I came across this UGreen. I’m a fan of the UGreen brand because all of their stuff is really well made, and you definitely get what you pay for, so although I could have bought a similar capacity power bank for about a 1/3 (I paid about £70 for this Green one) all the reviews said that this is one area where you want to be wary of cheap ‘non-brand’ power banks that are sold as being 25k/30k and more capacity, but in reality are a lot less.
So far this one has been really impressive, it lasted 5 hours powering my QC, via USB C with a 12v USB C to DC cable and a polarity converter tip (why did NDSP insist on using a centre negative supply?! Is there actually a genuine reason for this??) and it’s TSA compliant so also doubles as a really powerful power-bank for travel purposes.
Unfortunately you can’t do pass-through charging with this, and it only has USB output; this isn’t a problem with the QC but for some reason I couldn’t get a Headrush Core to power via USBC, even though I have a 12v USBC-DC cable. As I said though this isn’t a problem with the QC, as that seems to power quite happily from the USB ports
Overall to me it seems a lot more useful to have around the house than going the whole hog and getting a Krisdonia-alike, and I can actually get 2 of these for less than the price of a 50k Krisdonia, so for now it looks like it will do the job really well…
hello everyone. getting the qc soon and would like to use at work with my battery bank.
currently i use my laptop but it’s kind of cumbersome. i have an anker prime 27,650 power bank the newest one. i can’t find any spec on the volt output. has anyone used this bank for their quad cortex?
Ordered this. Hoping it does the trick, because none of the cabking options that came with the battery do. I have the reverse polarity cable and could gwt it to boot with the white one if i stressed over it for 10min.
Really want this ti work, but starting to get frustrated.
Well, Ive got the Krisdonia to work but only on the 9v setting. It boots and functions, but the output lanes are barely producing signal. Im guessing the extra 3v power the output.
Ive tried powering up on 12v but nothing happens. I measured the output of the battery on the 12v setting and it registers 12.91v. Im guessing the QC has some sort of built in circuit protection that orevents it from booting in the event of >12v.
Hi-
What kind of cable are you using? I have a USB-C to DC cable that runs on 20V perfectly along with powering my newest addition (Shure wireless, powered via the DC out on the Krisdona).
