Newbie question here, but I’m looking to run a clean boost and a reverb pedal through FX loop 1 and stack 2 overdrives on FX 2 on the Quad Cortex - is this possible without any extra faff at all?
Is it as simple as three jack leads (send/pedal/pedal/return) or am I over simplifying this in my head?
FX Loop 1 Send → clean boost → reverb → FX Loop 1 Return
FX Loop 2 Send → overdrive → overdrive → FX Loop 2 Return
You will need to add the FX Loop blocks (1 & 2) to the grid to activate the loops. But you’ll have the benefit of moving the FX Loop blocks around wherever you want on the grid.
Just keep in mind, each FX loop is mono only. Shouldn’t be a problem for you if you’re using external drives which are mono.
The Send jacks also boost the signal. Other people in the forum have exact numbers on the amount of boost, but I typically turn down the Send by about 2 dB and my Boss pedals play well with the QC that way. Send and Return controls are inside of the FX Loop block.
