To send beat clock to the QC depends on what program or hardware device you are using to SEND or generate the beat clock. For example, in pro tools I go to the setup/midi menu and choose beat clock. Then select the QC as the destination. I could also just choose a midi output on my midi interface, and connect a midi cable from that midi out to the midi input of the QC.
There are lots of ways to do it. Might need more info from you to help you sort it out.

I can write midi commands, but I don’t know what to sent to give tempo information to the QC
A midi command is not beat clock. beat clock is a form of time code. like SMPTE. I’m not familiar with how to have a midi command change the tempo. Someone else might have to step in on this one.
Any updates on this?
