Make any knob assignable to any MIDI CC just like EXP

I propose adding the capability to assign any knob/parameter in any block to a user-specified MIDI CC.
For instance, allowing users to control delay mix with MIDI CC#71, amp treble with MIDI CC#83, and overdrive gain with MIDI CC#75. This flexibility is already available in many competing units and would significantly enhance the user control on the Quad Cortex, especially in a studio environment or contemporary live performances where MIDI clock and click tracks are used.

An intuitive approach could be to extend the current “Assign Expression Pedal” functionality to include MIDI CC assignments.

Alternatively, introducing additional virtual expression pedals (e.g., EXP3, EXP4, etc.) controlled via fixed dedicated incoming CCs could also achieve this.

Love this idea and I can’t agree more. I came from the HX Stomp, and while I love the QC, I was surprised to see this is not a feature. I was able to program all the parameters of effects and amp settings with different CCs on my Morningstar. This would be HUGE.

Coming from Helix I never even questioned if something as basic exists in QC, which is quite a surprise that it doesn’t.

Yes, yes, yes!!!
I was an HX Stomp user prior to getting my QC. Imagine my disappointment when I found out that the QC doesn’t have arbitrary CC/parameter combinations like the Helix family does. We also need to be able to enable/disable blocks without them already being assigned to one of the footswitches A-H.
I am still hoping that this will be part of the “quality of life” improvements coming in the next firmware update.

I agree with this suggestion to a degree, being able to control what ever CC data would greatly increase the QCMs flexibility but certain factory settings probably should be static like the H90…
