M vave chocolate + QC mini

I’m hoping this might help others - I spent ages trying to get my chocolate to operate my QC mini using m vaves wireless midi adapter. I tried everything I could think of, scoured the web…you name it.

Then I stumbled on the solution. The m vave adapter has a larger midi plug with the power switch and is labelled “OUT”, and a smaller plug labelled “IN”.

I’m used to the output of device A going to the input of device B, so I plugged the main “OUT” unit with the switch and the connection light into the QC - but not this time. All I needed to do was swap to the little featureless “IN” plug - then spend a few minutes smacking my palm against my forehead whilst making Homer Simpson noises.

I hope this helps some other poor soul…

Thanks for sharing this, these are exactly the kind of small details that save people hours of troubleshooting. MIDI labels website can be pretty unintuitive when adapters don’t follow the usual signal flow. Glad you found the fix, and hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same forehead-smacking moment.
