I updated to Nano OS 2 when it came out. It’s been working great until this morning and all my custom presets are gone and what looks like factory presets are in it’s place. I don’t think there is a backup, so what is one to do other than start from scratch.
Support confirmed that there is nothing they can do and there is no backup process currently available. I didn’t do a factory recent, so I am at a lose what went wrong. Anyone have a similar experience?
I personally haven’t heard of anyone experiencing loss of presets during updating so unfortunately, I am at a loss as well.
I don’t know if it was the update that created the problem; seems too coincidental. It was working fine for days after the update, and then the unexpected preset loss. The downloaded captures didn’t get lost, so I can try and rebuild around those again. So strange.
I just had the same thing happen last night. Updated right when it came out, everything was perfect. Used daily without issue. Last night, turned it on like usual and only factory presets. Had to rebuild my presets from the captures and IRs that were all still present in the app. Seems like there’s something going on.
Follow up: contacted support and was told my 500mah Snark power supply isn’t sufficient. Could be the cause, not sure. Been using it without problem since Oct 2024. Will try a power supply with at least 600mah and see how it goes.
Thanks for presenting your situation and the support update. Strange behavior for being the power. I usually use usbc power from my laptop and have another supply with lots of headroom for other situations.
