Looper sync

Hi there, has anyone had success syncing an external drum machine to looper x quad cortex? for the life of me I can’t, tried it with a Boss RC-5 , a Beatbuddy , no joy, [it shows its getting clock, blue light] the loop just drifts off no matter what is supplying the clock, including morning star MC 8, tried the specific tempo and quantise fix but no joy, everything else syncs up to each other just not the looper. Have emailed support@neuraldsp.com numerous times and haven’t had a reply in a month, so I thought id put it out here, if anyone can point me to a vid of someone successfully getting it to sync please do so, its driving me nuts.
Thanks to any replies, much appreciated. Ronny.

this is the only recent info I’ve seen posted about the Looper Drift. Not sure if it’ll help, but this is what someone posted worked for them:

I think I’ve found the problem with looper drift. If the length of the loop is a repeating number then the QC must round it which can make it a different length than the drum track. For example, the length of a QC loop with a tempo of 66 and a quantize of 4 is 60/66*4 = 3.63636363636363…. So, QC likely rounds it down which ends up being shorter than the drum track.

Tempos that work for me with a quantize of 4 are 50, 60, 64, 75, 80, 96, 100, 120, 125, 128 and 150. I’ve never had drift with these tempos. It does depend on the quantize you’re using. For example, a tempo of 72 doesn’t work for quantize of 4 (3.3333…) but does work for 3 (2.5)."

Hi Rush appreciate your reply.
Yes have read that post and they do work at those tempos but thats very limiting really. My email to support which I’m still awaiting an answer after a month was ‘Has this been fixed now and am I doing something wrong,’ seems now it hasn’t been fixed.
Thanks again
