I did the cable midi hack for the looper to work in scenes a while ago and it was working great. I did the 3.3.0 update and now it doesnt work. I need this looper to work in scenes for a benefit concert I am doing this weekend. Can anyone help?
Via scenes, sending the quad a midi cc message (from itself) using a short MIDI cable in the In and Out to record/stop toggle the looper on a particular foot switch. Then assigning a play/stop on another switch.
Ok, weird bug that fixed it. I had to touch the Looper X block on the actual screen for it to fix itself.
UPDATE: I just rebooted and had to touch the Looper X yet again to get it to record, so it doesn’t retain the touch fix after reboot. Super annoying.
I had the Same bug, when using a midi footswitch for the looper. It doesn’t work until I open the looper with the touchscreen once. After that, it works fine

It’s a weird bug for sure.
Yep. Same here. I’ve contacted support and they said they would alert the development team. Hopefully a bug fix next update.

I have the exact same issue. It is really annoying for gigs as I always open the quad cortex directly into gig mode, and after the 3.3 update (and not fixed in 3.3.1), I have to remember to always go in and out of the looper block manually once before the looper midi controls. If I don’t remember to do that then none of the looper controls would work via my midi pedal.
Did you get any feedback on timelines on when they may fix it?
No, unfortunately no timeframe given. I’m hoping next update.
Looks like this issue is fixed with 4.0.0
I will try it out tonight and see.
Thanks Neural!!
Confirmed. This bug is fixed. Just tested it out. Looper responds normally to midi now.
