Latency with Nano and Logic Pro

Recently started recording with Nano as interface. I use headphones on Nano and turn off monitoring on Logic. But after recording I have to move the file back a few cents to sync with the other tracks.
I have already tried manipulating the buffer size and everything else. I was using Scarlett with Neural plugins previously but after adding a few tracks was showing System Overload so using Nano as interface has got rid of the System Overload issue. I was wondering if there is a solution to this.
I am using a Macbook Pro 2017 3.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 16 GB ram.
Thanks.

Couple of things you can try -

  • Are you using lots of plugins? - does it do it with no plugins on? - It’s quite easy to over use plugins in each track rather than route them via a send (reverb as an example)
  • Have you tried low-latency mode?
  • Have you tried changing the sample rate on the project to match the NC? - I’ve only read about this, I’ve not experienced an issue using 44.1kHz
  • Virus scanner etc.
  • Time for a Mac upgrade?
