Is there a legit budget alternative to the QC for Neural DSP plugin users?

Cool. So is your expectation that full presets will be mimicked? I see lots of tones from users in the ToneNET library (I created an account to see what’s what) literally named “Neural DSP” or some variation. I guess it stands to reason that the full chains will start being shared…?

Generally don’t have any expectations - especially about these things. Neural, among other’s, taught me not to have, so I’m just humble and see what happens, when it happens.

But yes, saw a YT vid of one testing it and that was exactly the case; fully made presets.

For your use case I’d personally have purchased a Tonex Now, until I had saved up to a QC. But who knows, maybe you’ll find that this is it for you, ay’? When buying the QC I thought the learning curve of these more or less DIY setups were too tall, but apparently not anymore.

Thanx for asking

I just picked up a used nano cortex as a backup, and I was able to capture my quad cortex settings for four presets. The captures do not include any effects, but the nano cortex already has those built-in. So after a little bit of tweaking with reverb, delay, modulation I now have a back up rig that sounds spot on compared to my main quad cortex set up. I also set up the mvave chocolate plus to expand the presets buttons for this backup rig, but I’m not even sure if I’ll actually need the four extra buttons.
