Is it possible to add HTTP PROXY settings for WIFI connection?

For unspeakable reasons , it is extremely slow to browse non-domestic websites in China.

Normally I use a VPN to accelerate while surfing the Internet.

Is it possible to add HTTP PROXY settings for WIFI access, so I can download new OS or presets for QC easier, kinda like a smart phone does?

No, it is impossible to do that. The hotspot provided by iPhone won’t route traffic through the proxy.

You can use an raspberry as a Wifi AP with dnsmasq and ipfiltering to route all traffic from AP/wifi to a cable connected internet-router. add on you could create a VPN connection on the rasperry and route all traffic there via VPN to the outside. There are tons of howto’s for such a configuration.
