can someone please give me step by step explanation to record both DI and wet signal from QC in Logic and then reamp the dry signal afterwards if needed?
I checked out some earlier posts but still confused on which inputs and outputs to use in qc and in logic.
I understood that I have to use QC as interface, and choose that in logic audio settings.
I read your OP and thought there might be a step-by-step instruction
I have read page 87 of the manual and I am still clueless
I am using the QC as my audio interface and Logic Pro as my DAW
Would you be so kind as to list each step of your process of reamping using Logic Pro and the QC? I have been trying to find out and cannot find an answer
I keep reading online that you have to set USB ins/outs then somewhere else I read you have to use a Send and an Aux track
I just checked it out, it’s on page 88,
Quad Cortex is connected to the laptop through USB.
Routing:
• Open your DAW and choose Quad Cortex as main audio device.
• Create a mono audio track and set its input as Input 1.
The track will receive the dry input signal coming from your
instrument.
• Then, create a stereo audio track and set its input as Input 3/4.
The track will receive the processed signal coming from the
row via USB 3/4.
• Finally, arm both tracks for recording.
Check the following steps to send back the recorded DI to Quad
Cortex:
• Select the dry audio track output as Output 5.
• Choose USB 5 as an input block in QUAD CORTEX Grid.
• Press PLAY in your DAW.
Quad Cortex will receive the signal coming from the track. All the
device blocks placed in the row will affect the signal.
Recording the re-amped signal in your DAW is also possible.
• Add another audio track and set its inputs as Inputs 3/4.
• Arm the track for recording.
Hmm, I did exactly that but I get no sound, despite the meter on the track in Logic showing a signal
Thank you for trying - I think the QC requires audio engineering knowledge I do not have
EDIT: I somehow stumbled upon trying different In/Out configurations and got it to work - I have now saved it as a template as I am not sure I could recreate it lol
I was coming here to suggest exactly that. There can be settings specific to your setup- it may differ from the manual or other users flow.
I have a complicated rig with aggregated interfaces and monitor mixers, etc.
I had to try each combination of I/Os until I found the correct ones to work for my arrangement of devices. Templates are the best way to go, I have them for the QC and Logic, with other versions for video streaming, etc.
