Help, what do i have to do?

Hi All

What do i have to do about this warning message and can i save the captures on my pc. Thanks

Regards Chris

The QC can only store a certain amount of captures on the unit. You just have to delete ones you don’t use from the QC, and you can re download them later.

You cannot save captures to your computer. They’re only accessible through the Neural cloud.

It can also help to move what you like and use out of the ‘downloads’ into a ‘set list’. Also go into the settings and scroll to the bottom and click ‘disk space’. It will show you what you have available.

This message only applies to your Downloads folder, which is a holding space till you decide to SAVE a capture to a permanent folder (‘MY Captures’ by dafault, or other sub-folders you create) or delete them.

They said this CorOS version only allows/shows 200 caps in your Downloads folder onboard the QC. The others you have marked for DL thru the Cloud app are still queued in your account online, they just won’t show on your QC till you clear some out of the DL folder- either by deleting or saving them to a different folder in the library

“The queue is now limited to 200 items on Quad Cortex. Note: This limit does not affect your full Downloads History on Cortex Cloud—all previously downloaded items remain safe and accessible.”

Regarding the 200, is there a distinction between personal captures and/or downloaded?

the 200 only applies to the Downloads folder- no “personal captures” would be in there- they’d go directly to the default “My Captures” folder when created. Or am I misunderstanding the ?

The last official word from NDSP was we had slots for 2048 user caps on the QC (either created or DL’d) and 2048 for uploading our own caps to the Cloud.

I followed this and moved everything in My Downloads to My Captures but I got a message saying that a lot of them were already there. Does that mean it’s safe to delete everything in My Downloads folder now? I’m still getting the warning on booting up.

just in case you’re having a glitch or bug there, maybe start by deleting one you’re sure is still available on the CLoud. Delete it from the Downloads folder, then search for it to make sure the QC still finds it in the new folder you moved it to. That should confirm that you’re safe to delete them.

Strangely though- when you ‘save’’ them from the DL folder, they should disappear from there. Something sounds a little weird here. Definitely make sure you can see them in the “My Captures” folder, and try using one on the grid to make sure everything’s working like it should.

Did you use the ‘save’ option from the Downloads folder?

Yeah it seems to be some kind of glitch. Most of them seem to be in the My Captures folder but I tried Saving some that I couldn’t see there and it said ‘2 Captures Saved’ but still came up with the ‘there’s captures of the same name there’ error and when I go to check in the My Captures folder they aren’t there. Weird - seems like a bug. I wish there was some option to like clear the cache or something to fix it. I have rebooted the device today too a few times so I’d have thought it might fix itself by now.

Seems like it was a few glitchy files that stopped the process. I skipped them and then it started working but now it’s saying my Capture Library is full :sob:

Okay, this has been a disaster. Now most of my presets are showing multiple amps missing. I don’t know where the hell it’s moved these captures too but it sure AF didn’t save them as it said it was doing. I don’t know if I should just delete the entire folder and resave all these captures again or what. What a mess…I think I might just restore from a back-up at this stage…

yeah if presets are showing amps missing something is definitely going wrong in your ‘save’ process. Can you confirm you are saving via the icon shown in the Downloads folder next to the capture name?

Might be best to contact Support@neuraldsp.com if you haven’t yet. They have assisted other users with similar issues, like problems with their DL queue.

That’s why I always recommend caution in deleting captures- they’re the one component we aren’t guaranteed to be able to replace.

If something’s corrupt somewhere on your system you may have trouble restoring or resetting, in which case Support will have to get involved.

Yeah, I was saving via the Icon in the downloads file so not sure what went wrong. In the end after restoring from a recent back-up, I moved all my files into a folder system I’d created previously for my bought captures from amalgam. I eventually ran out of space in My Captures folder but I had moved all I needed by then and I deleted some capures I don’t use so I have a little space left but not much!

glad you got it sorted! I guess they changed a few little details about how captures are handled in the new CorOS update, maybe it interfered with what you were doing.

Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if they added more capture slots (again) for us eventually.
