Global volume balancing

I would love to see a global volume balacing feature that would level all of the presets for same db level output. I know you can level each one yourself but I don’t understand why none of these modeling units have implemented something that auto balances your presets. Some downloads of captures are super low while others are really high volume and that feature would save a ton of time imho.

Fair enough on db leveling but perceived volume should be able to be leveled automatically in any modeler in 2025 and it simply isn’t implemented. I know I am not the only one who finds it frustrating that every preset or capture are all over the map on loudness.

There is a difference in the user captures that are shared over at the nano cloud. It’s a bit problematic in its own, but not a huge deal in my opinion. (Some are just badly made, others vary due to the gear that was used.)

There’s a thread here about that topic here:

The thing to do is to build and save presets. Presets (not captures) contain the entire signal chain and is independent on what you have in your capture banks and IR bank. As long as the things you use in your preset (the capture and the IR file) is on you pedal, not necessarily loaded into a capture bank slot or IR slot, the preset can be recalled just as you saved it.

This thread is regarding QC but the same can be applied for NC:

I know my ear hurts from loading up a couple super loud captures the first day. Now I keep down super low. I’ve never see such massive volume differences between tones on any device more than the Nano.

Agree. Most modelers that support playing captures etc., seem to exhibit similar behavior with problems keeping everything balanced. There isn’t any 100% standard in capturing/profiling which leads to poor captures or unbalanced presets.
