I’ve notice a massive difference in volumes of 3rd party captures and wondering why that is. If you can only go so high with the gain and volume then why do some captures sound much louder?
Also what is the best way to manage a loud capture… turn down the capture volume?
I use capture volume to compensate.
Another great way is to use the gain function of the IR loader. That combined with capture volume should help manage it somewhat
Yea I’ve been using IR gain also if it’s a really loud capture.
That does not work if you are using a combo amp capture- I usually turn off the CAB on combo amp captures- where I cannot adjust the volume permanently/cannot be saved for individual capture. Neural DSP hear us!
Yes something like a volume setting for captures that is recalled when loading and switching to a capture would be great.
