Nano Cortex volume changes

I noticed that after working on my presets I decided to create another preset but not by saving a preset as another preset and modifying it. I was in the cortex cloud auditioning captures of amps. Right off I noticed the volume of the captures on the cortex cloud was much lower in volume than my presets I created previously. I kept going from one capture to another and decided not to create another preset and cancelled my progress of that. When I went back to my previously created presets (presets that I’ve had for a long time) the volume was lower than normal and the volume was probably the same as the captures when I was auditioning them. I shut down the nano and restarted it and my normal volumes of my presets were back. Why is this happening and is there a fix?

fwiw I’ve noticed some odd volume things as well. I never discerned a pattern, but some times two presets with the same capture would have different loudness at the same capture volume setting. Seems strange I could never figure it out.

The volune of a preset is determined by more factors than one capture.

There is 100% a weird volume thing that happens… I also haven’t found a pattern but on Friday I was playing at a big festival… I thought the monitor engineer had lowered me or smtg… he said my signal was way quieter asking “what did I change?” … I was confused, after some troubleshooting I just rebooted and it came back loud and once again I looked like I don’t know what I’m doing :joy:

This is exactly what happens to me when playing captures on the cloud and then switching back to MY created presets. I understand that the captures may be or will be lower volumes on the cortex cloud and that’s fine but switching to my presets only to have the same volume level as the. Loud captures is stupid. I really thought I’d messed up my presets until I rebooted the nano and the volume came back.

Yeah it’s really annoying when people reply as if it’s a “gain staging” issue… That is not the fault most people talk about. That happens in any modeler/amp…

We talking about actual above 10db volume drop overall… in presets that had normal volume, it’s just strange

This has happened to me too—luckily only while playing at home—where I’ll be using the same preset for a few minutes, and suddenly the volume jumps up and stays at that level. I first noticed it after connecting an expression pedal and configuring it to control the capture volume for that preset. I posted about this a while back, but no one replied.
