After introduction of QC mini, one may wonder about the future of full QC. Keeping two versions of the devices where the only serious difference is number of switches feels a bit odd in my opinion. I would see much more sense in creating a small form factor device like QC mini with an extra connector to add a separate extension board with programmable set of switches. This way you would have to maintain only one version of the hardware and the users who need more switches while performing live can scale up with an extension board.
