QCR (Quad Cortex Rack)

I know, I know… smaller is better. The QC was already compact, the Mini is even smaller, and the Nano takes it to the extreme. It’s a trend across the whole industry right now.

I’ve spent years playing the Kemper Rack + Remote and the Axe-Fx III with the FC-12. Then I switched to the QC and I truly love it.

But honestly? I miss the rack concept. Whether it’s at a gig, in the rehearsal room, or at home—it’s just so much more convenient to have the foot controller on the floor and the actual brain of the unit at eye/finger level.

Also, a dedicated QC Remote with a bit more breathing room between the switches would be great.

I realize the market is moving elsewhere, but a QC Rack + QC Remote would be my absolute dream setup. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Many are already doing this via installing the QC within a rack shelf and controlling everything via remote MIDI controller. Although I do like the idea of a rack mountable QC!

I like the idea of stand alone controllers as Fractal has done with the FC6 and FC12. I think there are limitations to the midi functionality that that would make a dedicated controller with scribble strips, and/or a gig view type screen display to show the 2nd screen on the Mini, for example
