@NigelGBR I want to thank you so much for the idea you gave me…you made me happy to play with wah again.
Since I went digital I had a lot of difficulty using every expression pedal I tried as a wah, because of the too long sweep compared to my old cry baby… maybe with the only exception of the 200€ Mission ones.
I always thought of calibration simply as a fine tuning process between different pedals, but when i read your post from Smoother Expression Control:
…a light went on in my head, I added two small shims to my ridiculously cheap M-audio EX-P, one at the heel and one at the toe, I recalibrated and…wah-w…in one fell swoop I eliminated the dead spots at the beginning and end of the travel and, most importantly, I regained the feeling of playing with a real wah.
