Does QC pass data entering its (traditional cable)Midi In port to USB Midi out by way of the 'Thru' function?

Trying to use a MorningStar MC6 to send via it’s midi cable through the QC via USB midi to an iPhone running Quantiloop.

I know Quantiloop is configured correctly as far as USB audio and USB midi from QC.
I can set up a QC stomp to trigger the midi on and off etc in Quantiloop but I can’t get midi sent to QC’s midi in port to make it to Midi thru via USB to the iPhone so I can set up the MC6 as a dedicated looper control and free up the QC stomp switches for other purposes…

Short version: does QC midi thru make use of USB the way it does via the traditional midi out/thru?

I have the same question / problem …

Today, I tried to connect my Arranger Keyboard using a (traditional) midi cable , from the ‘Midi Out’ of my keyboard to the ‘Midi In’ of the QC, enabled ‘midi thru’ and ‘Usb Midi’ hoping that the midi in messages would be available to a Piano VST on my PC , but I was unable to get any midi message on the PC side …

The Keyboard is correctly configured, I tested the same midi cable plugged in the ‘Midi In’ port of my Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 , and the Piano VST recognized the midi messages immediatly …

It’s really annoying, as I wanted to use my QC as my only Audio Interface and get all the Midi Messages from my keyboard via the QC Usb Cable, but the QC is (apparently) unable to act as a real midi thru via usb device …

I would reach out to support@neuraldsp.com to work with you to get everything working. I used Quantiloop about a year ago and controlled it via a Roland FC-200 MIDI controller successfully.

I want to do something similar, is it possible and how to configure it?

Hi MP were you using the quad cortex as the audio interface for Quantiloop and the FC 200 was connected to the QC?
I’m trying to use my MC6 to control Loopy Pro through the QC but no MIDI message is sent through. I even used MIDI Fire on the iPad to check if anything was received but nothing.
