Does anyone know how the unit deals with this?

There are ventilation grills so its a way in, does anyone know if there would be good to open and clean the unit once in a while or just let it be?

Not worth the risk of voiding the warranty tbh

Great point… Thanks for reply. Sometimes good ideas are bad…

It’s common for electronics manufacturers to apply conformal coating (parylene, etc.) to their circuit boards, which helps protect against dirt, moisture, and other foreign-object-debris (FOD).

I don’t know if this is the case for the QC’s circuit board, and I’m not keen on opening up my unit to find out.

There is a pretty detailed teardown of the QC here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzbKtmEt68E

It doesn’t look like the boards have conformal coating, but I agree there should be no need to open it for dust removal. Keeping liquids out of the vent holes would be a bigger concern for me.

Thanks. I just started thinking about it… Didn’t have any plan of doing it, but just curious what this compatible forum had to say about it.
