Does anyone else's cat sit/sleep on top of their QC?

My pedal board is right next to my work desk and my cat (who, admittedly, is quite small) curls up on top of my QC every single day, usually for quite a while. Not sure how on earth she is comfortable.

Anyways, the problem use to be that I wouldn’t lock the screen, and she would mess everything up. Now that I’ve been locking the screen regularly she has clearly figured out how to unlock it and constantly does so… and then messes everything up. Even right this very moment, she has gone full loaf, with her hind paw right near the power button.

This is a very niche problem, but is there anyone else? I feel like I got Snoopy sleeping on top of his doghouse here.

You’re totally right. Added!

That is wild! It’s gotta be the heat it give off which is enticing, right?

Does your cat do that even if it’s powered off??

Do you live in a cold area? As someone else said , the cats sitting there for the heat. They sell heating pads for cats. They also sell pads and beds that the cat itself creates it’s own heat. They use special material. Anyway, good luck.

Lol. I live in Southern California. It’s definitely got to be the heat though. If she’s not on the QC, she’s on my Xbox

If I had a cat it wouldn’t be allowed in my studio, too much can go wrong.

You could always put a big piece of paper on the floor and act like you’re looking at it. They jump right in the middle of it and sit down every time. Just a suggestion but I have a feeling she is now the owner of your quad. You’re just allowed to borrow it if you ask her.

Haha real problems here! My two idiots try to do the same (probably because it gets nice and warm), but they are way to big for it to fit. I usually just put a piece of cardboard over the screen to protect it from scratches when im not using it.

Yup. The QC makes a nice little heating pad.

My little guy also learned how to unlock the screen to do his own programming. Gave me a reason to test my backups…

The DeckSaver by itself almost solved the problem. I had to add a couple of adhesive vinyl pads at the top corners because the cat’s weight on the cover would activate the QC power button.

She probably likes the heat the QC gives off.
