This noise you’re experiencing is due to a baked-in grounding problem on XLR outs 1&2. Use outputs 3&4 to avoid this noise.

Right, I’m part of this club now too. Just received the UK version of this thing, seems to work perfectly. Never thought I’d be so excited over a switch.

Yes indeed! Most convenient to have an on/off switch that cuts the power, right next to the QC where you need it. Inexpensive and it even gives you an extra foot or thereabouts of power cable.
