The Boss GT1000 implementation of this is great.
Each block has 10 slots you can save to, if you update those settings it synchronises anywhere using that saved block setup.
Very handy feature, saves a bunch of time and energy.

Cool feature. In the Boss ecosystem, this is saved as a Stomp. You can have 10 stomp states for each pedal, and wherever that pedal is included in a preset, changing its state updates it across all presets. Cool.
